I started Karate as a suggestion from my parents. I had consistently done many physical activities such as hockey, swimming, gymnastics, soccer, but I lost interest in all of them and eventually quit after a couple of years, until I tried Karate at Arashi-Do. I have been practicing it ever since, and it continues to be a large part of my life.
I was born in Calgary and have been training and helping teach Karate for the last 8+ years of my life.
My goal is to always be the best person I can be, and nothing instills this idea more than Karate where we train each day just to be a little bit better than the last. It is always rewarding to see this improvement in students as I get to see their skills increase as they reach higher and higher belts.
My goal, and the most fun part about teaching, is working to ensure all my students are able to achieve their goals whether it’s mastering jump spinning kicks, building self-confidence, or just getting a sweat on with friends.
Each day of teaching is a blast when I get to work within a positive environment of students as we all work to be the best versions of ourselves.
I have competed in multiple tournaments and have won the samurai sword in the Samurai Sword series tournaments. I have been teaching my own classes since getting my first-degree Black Belt and am currently studying at the University of Calgary to get my degree in Software Engineering.
