I began my martial arts journey with Arashi Do in 2002 at the age of four, starting out as a Little Dragon. My parents found an ad in the newspaper, signed me up, and from my very first class, I was hooked. I trained in Karate for a few years before briefly exploring gymnastics.
At 11, martial arts called me back. My father owned and taught at the Springbank Dojo, and I soon developed a strong interest in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Not long after, I took up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and returned to Karate with a renewed passion and I’ve never looked back.
I quickly began assisting with classes, helping teach students aged 4-12 in all three disciplines. For over ten years now, I’ve been training and teaching five nights a week.
Teaching is truly my passion. I love watching the kids grow, not just as martial artists, but as confident, respectful, and resilient individuals. Martial arts gave me a confidence that shaped who I am, and I’m committed to passing that same gift on to the next generation.
