I started my martial arts career in my teens training Hung Gar Kung Fu in Montreal for several years. Then studies and life took over and I left the martial arts for a couple of decades until my sons started training Karate. As a parent I watched for a couple of years and finally decided to join the dojo at age 42. I proceeded to train GoJu Karate for a couple of years until I met Kyoshi Gary Vig with Arashi-Do Karate, and then received my Black Belt in Shotokan Karate in 2017. That’s when I realized how much there was still to learn…and how much of a pleasure it was to teach.
